PM Modi’s high level meeting on oxygen and medicines, supply of oxygen exceeded demand

PM Narendra Modi at a high level meeting on Wednesday reviewed the availability of oxygen and medicines as well as their supply in relation to the covid-19 epidemic. During this time it was told that medicines are being made available in good quantity to the states.

The Prime Minister’s office reported that during the first wave of the covid-19 pandemic, oxygen supply is now three times higher than the demand for oxygen, while production of all drugs, including remdesivir, has increased significantly in the past few weeks.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister tweeted and said, covid-19 reviewed various aspects related to the situation. These include the availability of oxygen and the supply of medicines in the country. The Prime Minister’s office said in a statement that the Prime Minister was apprised during the meeting that the supply of medicines used in the management of covid-19 was being monitored.
