Private varsities start external audit of exam scripts – @Galgotias University papers are set by external experts

Leading private universities in NCR have begun getting evaluated answer scripts audited by external experts, including academics from Delhi University and JNU, to make their grading system more transparent and credible.

Officials at several private universities said students whose answer scripts may have been incorrectly evaluated, or those who feel the evaluation has been “unfair” will no longer have a cause for complaint. The universities also plan to return evaluated and audited answer scripts to the students so that they can understand their mistakes and work on rectifying them.

Suneel Galgotia, chancellor, Galgotias University, has stated that the question papers of 80% programmes of the university are set by external experts already. “We invite external experts for evaluation in some of our academic programmes. We maintain quality teaching and evaluation in our institutions,” Galgotia has said.
