Amity University Haryana organized its 14th Session of prestigious “Distinguished Global Indian Speaker Series (DGISS)” by felicitating Prof. V. ‘Seenu’ Srinivasan, The Adams Distinguished Professor of Management, Emeritus in the august presence of Chancellor Dr Aseem Chauhan, Vice Chancellors, Deans, senior scientists and Heads of Institutions of Amity Universities in India and campuses abroad. Expressing his delight at felicitating the illustrious V. ‘Seenu’ Srinivasan, Chancellor of AUH Dr Aseem Chauhan expressed his delight by saying, “This series recognizes, and honors distinguished global Indian academicians who have reached exemplary heights in their field of expertise and have achieved excellence of the highest order in their profession. While their fame and accolades resonate across the world, they continue to have their roots firmly embedded in India”.

Prof Srinivasan delivered a highly informative and inspiring webinar on “Innovative Market Research for Solving Real World Problems ” that was attended by around 800 participants who registered for the webinar and several thousands more who watched it live as well.

“The capabilities to use technology, to create newer applications for providing added and more efficient services are of paramount importance to the service industry. Their capabilities of innovation and willingness to adopt new technologies are equally important. Market research at present is being supported by recent models of decision making and how can various companies connect to people with heart, empathy and ‘Atmiyata’.”, said Vice Chancellor Prof PB Sharma while delivering his welcome address.

In his keynote presentation Prof. V. ‘Seenu’ Srinivasan described in detail about ‘Innovative Market Research for Solving Real World Problems’. The applications of innovative market research in context of pharmaceuticals, railways and other areas citing relevant research conducted by him. The term ‘Conjoint Analysis’ coined by Prof. Srinivasan can be used to productize and monetize the innovations. Conjoint analysis technique has tremendous commercial applications and is being used by leading market research companies all over the world. The market simulators that result from Choice Based Conjoint Analysis enable companies to test numerous product formulations and competitive scenarios. He also highlighted that annually there are 18000 applications of conjoint analysis are being used by the industry.

“Teaching is the best way to learn. I want to give you three mantras for the better output in life no matter in what field you are associated with i.e Teaching, Research and Consulting.” added Prof Srinivasan.

While delivering her opening remarks Prof. (Dr.) Gunjan M Sanjeev, Vice President of RBEF and Director, International Affairs, AUH said, “The diverse audience attending the webinar would definitely benefit and get inspired from the expertise and perspectives of distinguished academicians speaking at these series from world class Universities from across of the world.” The event was coordinated by Ms. Shaivy Sharma for which excellent IT support was provided by Dr JS Sodhi and his team.
