Public Health Department, SDMC launches Vector borne disease monitoring application

NEW DELHI: Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Mayor SDMC, today launched here a mobile application for the monitoring of Vector borne disease at Civic Centre in South Delhi.

Inspired by Surat model of monitoring application, the application was launched for two hundred tablet devices for usage of DBC workers.

Complementing the health department for putting technology to use for the eradication of the disease, Miss Kamaljeet said, “It delights me to see that how the department has been working hard towards getting rid of afflictions and I wish good luck to the DBC workers for playing a prominent role towards the issue.”

“I expect DBC workers to realise that they are given a great responsibility and they will make efficient use of the application,” she added

Speaking on the occasion Puneet Goyal, commissioner South Delhi, said that this application is an effective step towards controlling the vector borne diseases.

“The application is going to be very useful in collecting data and keep tabs on the affected and vulnerable areas in order to develop effective ways to get rid of the diseases,” he said.
