‘Pudhache Paul’ Felicitates Maharashtra UPSC rankers, Civil Service aspirants get guidance from senior bureaucrats

New Delhi, 25th August, 2022: On August 23, 2022, Tuesday, The Meritorious Felicitation Ceremony of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Exam Top Rankers from Maharashtra and the Guidance Session Camp for Upcoming IAS Aspirants, ‘Pudhche Paul’, was conducted at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.

The ceremony witnessed presence of dignitaries including R.N Ravi (Governor of Tamil Nadu), D.K Jain (Member, Lokpal and former Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra), Dr. Dnyaneshwar Mulay (IFS Rtd.), Mahesh Bhagwat (IPS), Rekha Raikar (ICAS), and Vishwas Nangre Patil (IPS).

 

The event included a guidance session for future IAS aspirants concerning how to portray yourself in front of an Interviewer, tips and tricks while solving the paper, and every subject’s strategies were discussed by those rankers who scored best in their subjects.

The candidates were given a pen and paper to take notes on crucial points and suggestions given by the rankers, whether it was concerning the study regimen, exam preparation, or the Interview process.

 

Dr. Mulay, In his speech mentioned, “This is a place of conversations, and we have the fourth year of offering the flower in the service of Maharashtra and the nation. The overall goal is to generate officers who are entirely Socially dedicated, committed to the Constitution and its Values, and committed to Nation building.”

“This is also a mission of Giving back, Officers from Maharashtra should set a good Example for everyone in nation and Pudche Paul is contributing in it,” he added.

 

In a recent interview with Ten News Network, two eminent rankers, Yash Kale (AIR 22) and Sandeep Shinde (AIR 32), shared their journey of becoming IFS officers, beginning with their preparation phase, and also provided some crucial suggestions to future aspirants.

Yash Kale said, “The most essential element of an interview is the personality test, in which the interviewers are not evaluating your knowledge or fluency in English, but rather how your personality comes through to the interviewer.”

“The main things which you need to portray in front of them is that, You fall in the frame of an ideal Civil Servant along with the balance of your own blend of Uniqueness,” he added.

 

Taking the conversation forward, Sandeep Shinde added that, “ You never know what will happen in 20 minutes; you can only be prepared and play it safe. When you have the most crucial 20 minutes of your life, it is best to play it safe since you don’t want them to notice you negatively.”
