Chandigarh, 25th June 2023: On Saturday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh targeted the state’s Aam Aadmi Party government while speaking at a public gathering in Punjab’s capital to mark the end of the Modi government’s nine-year tenure.

“The Punjab government failed to keep the peace. The primary responsibility of the government is to control law and order, but this government has failed,” added the Minister. “When Captain Amarinder Singh was Chief Minister, the Central and State governments worked together to strengthen the state’s law and order,” he remarked. However, he added that the AAP government in Punjab is not establishing law and order and is not cooperating with us.

“Today, I have come to Chandigarh,” said the Union Minister. I’m missing Prakash Singh Badal the most right now.” Further criticising the opposition, he stated, “The Congress and other oppositional parties claim that democracy is in jeopardy. If that’s the case, how did they win the Himachal assembly elections?”

Furthermore, following the gathering, Rajnath Singh met with the media and stated that the positions of Prime Minister, President, and Governor have a certain dignity that must be honoured.

Significantly, on the 9th anniversary of the Bharatiya Janata Party government, the party’s leaders began a public campaign in which they communicated with the public and offered a report card on their work over the previous nine years.
