Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Three-day ‘National Traders Conclave’ in National Capital!

New Delhi :– Three days national traders conclave began on Monday at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi under the umbrella of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

The conclave organised by CAIT across the three days will deliberate upon various core issues concerning the retail trade, e-commerce, taxation structure and “direct selling” business in the Country.

On first day of Conclave about 1000 plus leading trade leaders from all States were gathered at the conference which was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Rajnath Singh said,

“After GST Implementation may be some traders had some difficulties but as the time passesed, we start getting a positive feedback from them. We are open for any suggestions regarding GST by Traders. People and Specially opposition ask Why GST has four rate structure. I just want to ask the them should GST on Toyota car and a small object should be the same? It’s a great achievement that the return filed by traders is more than 100 crores.”

“Step taken by Union Minister Piyush Goyal for simplify returns in GST. Slashing tax rates from 28% tax slab is a proactive step. Simple GST-Simplify life of traders,” added Rajnath.

 

Speaking to Media , CAIT Secretary General, Praveen Khandelwal said,

“In this Conclave the trade leaders from all States will deliberate on various core issues concerning trade and commerce including simplification of GST, implications of Walmart- Flipkart deal on retail trade, abolition of income tax, need for a policy for e-Commerce.”

“CAIT has expressed satisfaction over decision of GST Council to simplify the filing of return process. Single Page Return Form to be filed quarterly for traders having turnover upto 5 cr is a bold step which will simplify miseries of traders,” added Khandelwal.
