Gurgaon: Adding to the landscape of the Millennium City, Rapid Metro Gurgaon today announced the start of commercial operations of its South Extension (Phase -2) connecting commuters from Golf Course Road in Gurgaon to the existing Rapid Metro system and further to Delhi Metro network from interchange station at Sikanderpur.
Rapid Metro Phase II (South Extension), will not only address the transportation needs of those who have their offices located on the Golf Course Road, South Gurgaon but large residential societies in the area as well.

Rapid Metro Gurgaon – South Extension will be open to commuters from
6:05 am till 12:36 (midnight). 7 fully automated trains with a frequency
of 4 minutes during peak hours will be running between Sikanderpur &
Sector 55-56 station. Enroute it will cover Phase 1 & Sector 54 chowk
stations initially. The remaining stations at Sector 42-43 & Sector 53-54
stations as well as the parking facilities are yet to open till further
announcement.

The promotional fare for Rapid Metro South Extension will be flat INR 20 (Sikanderpur – Sector 55-56). And INR 35 for the people who will commute between Sector 53-54, Sector 54 chowk & Sector 55-56 to Vodafone Belvedere Towers, IndusInd Cyber city station,Micromax Moulsari station and Phase 3 stations and vice versa.
