Rs 16 crore infra projects for Gaziabad

Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) will undertake infrastructure projects worth Rs 16.09 crore in the city, funds for which will be made available by the state’s 13th finance commission.

A six-member high-powered committee headed by Meerut’s divisional commissioner held a meeting in the corporation’s Navyug Market headquarters cleared the funds. Projects include a state-of-the-art plant in the city to convert polythene waste into diesel products, to be set up at a cost of around Rs 2.4 crore. It will be the first of its kind in UP, said officials.
