WAVE Infratech gets the responsibility of the UP Chapter of IGBC WAVE Infra to promote Sustainable living Mr Sachin Sharma of WAVE Infra appointed Chairman IGBC Western UP Chapter

Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture and Tourism & Civil Aviation, launched the CII- IGBC Western UP Chapter, thereby ushering in a new chapter in further promoting sustainable living environment in the State.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma in his address highlighted that Green Buildings use less water, optimize energy efficiency, conserves natural resources, generates less waste and provides healthier spaces for occupants, as compared to a conventional building.

Dr. Prem C Jain, Chairman IGBC, informed that, “as on date over 3,456 Green Building projects amount to over 3.18 Billion sq. ft., making India the second country with largest green building footprint in the world. He also highlighted that this growth has been made possible with the support of all the stakeholders.”

Mr. Sachin Sharma, of WAVE Infra, appointed Chairman IGBC Western UP Chapter, underlined that, “ensuring the well-being of occupants is a top priority for IGBC. All the 12 Green Building Rating Systems of IGBC address the wellbeing feature as a key attribute”. Mr. Sachin Sharma was confident that, IGBC Western UP Chapter would go a long way in re-defining the way buildings are constructed and facilitate in exploring new growth opportunities. Mr. Sachin Sharma also informed that, Western UP Chapter would become the 20th local chapter. This chapter would work closely with all the stakeholders to promote Green Building concepts at the State and regional levels.
