New Delhi: The highly-anticipated film Inshallah starring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt have been shevled indefinitely. The unexpected announcement came on Sunday by Bhansali productons and the actor.

The production had released a statement on Twitter that reads, “Bhansali Productions has decided to not go ahead with In-shaa-Allah for now… Further announcement will be out soon… God willing.”

Salman had also tweeted, “The film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is pushed but I will still see you all on Eid, 2020. Insha-Allah!!”

The reason for stopping the project is still unclear, however, there are different reasons that could have led to the decision to halt. According to some reports the film producer-director Sanjay Leela Bhansali required more shooting dates from the actor as he claimed that the making of Inshallah will not be possible within eight months.

Confirming this, a source was quoted by Spotboye as saying, “Recently, Bhansali told Salman that they have 8 months to make Inshallah ready in all respects and that just might not be possible.”

Another report by a renowned entertainment website claims that there had been creative differences between Bhansali and Salman and the two were not able to agree on the final narrative of the film.

Highlighting on the matter, the website had also quoted a source saying, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali respects and loves his actors and suggestions are welcome but not if they aim to alter the narrative. Hence, he has taken the decision to shelve the film. However, they are still friends and Sanjay Leela Bhansali has immense love and respect for him.”

The film was expected to release on Eid 2020 as planned by the makers and actor Salman. However, it seems there is a new film venture which will go on the floor instead.

There are speculations that the actor is in talks for the making of Kick 2 or Wanted 2 and soon there will be announcement for the same. Other reports suggest that there will be a completely new film for Salman’s Eid 2020 and not a sequel of the previous films.
