Salman Khan confirms dropping out of ‘Inshallah’ at IIFA awards 2019
New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan at the IIFA 2019 award night, confirmed that he will not be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah. Although the actor did not share the reason for the disassociation but said that the film will go on floors with some other actor.
He was asked by the media reporters to clarify on the status of the film, to which he replied, “Currently, ‘Inshallah’ is not being made. Inshallah will be made but at least not with me.”
Alia also went on to state at the same event, “I was very excited to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, of course very excited to work with Salman as well. I believe that sometimes things just happen and it’s not in your control. That way there’s a saying that if you want to make God laugh then tell him about your plans because plans never really go as per plan. But I can give it you in writing that I am going to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali very soon.”
Earlier, Salman and Sanjay had announced on their social media pages that the project is put on hold. However, the actor had later tweeted that he is no longer part of the project, but, he would arrive on Eid 2020. Ever since, there has been a mystery around Inshallah.
According to sources, actor Alia Bhatt might play the role of Gangubai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming project.
Inshallah would have marked Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Salman Khan’s association once again after Khamoshi: The Musical and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Meanwhile, Salman is busy working on Dabangg 3, it is the third sequel of his film Dabangg. The film marks the debut of Saiee, Mahesh Manhreker’s daughter, who will play the role of Chulbul Pandey’s childhood love interest.
