Samajwadi Party Noida chief’s brother fined for using hooters

Police on Thursday summoned Samajwadi Party’s Noida president Rakesh Yadav’s brother Mahesh Yadav for illegally installing two hooters on his SUV, a day after a video, purportedly showing him threatening cops for stopping his vehicle at Sector 19 market, was widely circulated in the city.

Mahesh Yadav was, however, let off with only a fine of Rs 1,100 for illegally using the sirens on his personal car and his Toyota Fortuner was also not seized, police said.
