Sara Ali Khan flaunts traditional Indian wear for her Cannes debut

New Delhi (India), 17th May 2023: Actor Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes International Film Festival 2023 debut in a lehenga on Tuesday. Several photos and videos of the actor posing on the red carpet have surfaced on the internet. Sara donned an ivory lehenga, a matching top, and a long dupatta with trail to the event. She also chose to complete the look with diamond earrings and a bracelet.
Sara also posted several pictures of herself from the event. She geo tagged the post Cannes, French Riviera, France. Sara also added a witty caption to the post that read, “You Cannes Do It.”
Sara had already re-shared a post from the red carpet on Instagram Stories. She wrote, “Hello, France.” Sara also posted a photo from Cannes of herself holding a coffee cup against a backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea and captioned “Cannes, French Riviera, France.”
Sara also engaged into a short conversation with Brut. She said, “Hello and Namaste (folded her hands). A little bit nervous. I have always aspired to be here someday. I can’t believe I’m here…It’s( her lehenga) a traditional Indian handmade design by Abu and Sandeep (Khosla). I’ve always been proud of my Indianness. It embodies who I am, it’s fresh, it’s modern and also also traditional.”
Sara will appear in the upcoming romance comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bach Ke, co-starred by Vicky Kaushal. Ae Watan Mere Watan and an untitled movie helmed by Jagan Shakti, and Homi Adjania’s Murder Mubarak are both in the works for her.
