Sattvik Council of India introduces the importance of vegetarian certificate to the students of Sri Sri University Cuttack

New Delhi/Odisha, 01 April 2022 A Series of seminars “Sattva” The Ultimate Pure: Applications of Sattvik Certifications had been conducted jointly by the Faculty of Agriculture, Human resource development center (HRDC) of Sri Sri University, Cuttack, and the Sattvik Council of India.

Mr. Abhishek Biswas, Founder of Sattvik Council of India spoke about his vision of establishing a vegetarian ecosystem by the year 2025. Abhishek Biswas was inspired to make a vegetarian ecosystem when he sensed a lack of control over what he consumed when he was traveling. This is why a vegetarian ecosystem is so much more than just the food you eat and is actually about the right to choose what you consume. The Sattvik certification is a way of ensuring that people have trust and confidence in what they eat when they go outside the safety net of their own house and community.

He also talked about how the SCI is now associated with Sri Sri University and how they will work together to ensure the standards they’ve set with their work are uniform. This will be done through an event they’ve been working on which involves students and faculty of the college.

He had interacted with the students about the certification process in detail, and additionally, unveiled the certification manuals published by the Sattvik Council of India.

On this occasion, Prof S. Kumaraswamy (Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Sri Sri University) informed the students about the importance of vegetarian certification and shared the dais with Mr. Biswas (Founder of SCI).

A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Neela Satheesh (Head, Food Nutrition and Dietetics, Associate Professor,  Faculty of Agriculture, Sri Sri University).
