Schools, colleges open, curfew relaxed for 7 hours in #Bhadrak

Bhadrak: With normalcy limping back gradually to the strife-torn town, all educational institutions, banks and government offices were opened today and curfew was relaxed for seven hours as no major incident of violence has been reported for last two days.

Educational institutions have remained open from 8 am to 10am. The curfew was relaxed from 7 a.m. to 2 pm to allow people to procure essential commodities, even as security forces kept a close vigil on the situation, a senior official said.

In order to check price rise, Food and Civil Supplies officials have been asked to keep a close watch on the market trends and take strict action against hoarders.

Soon after the relaxation of curfew was announced through public address systems, people hurried to purchase milk, bread and vegetables which were available at a few shops.

Deployment of security personnel was strengthened at vulnerable pockets and frequency in patrolling has been increased.
