Senior Congress Leader Akhilesh Das Dies of Heart Attack #RIP @INCIndia 

Former Union Minister and President of Badminton Association of India has died of heart attack today. 

Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta has been a Member of Parliament (Rajyasabha) from November 1996 to November 2004. He was also Minister for Steel from January 2006 to May 2008.

Congress workers are in deep shock on sudden demise of Dr. Akhilesh Das. 

Chief Secretary (Information) Navneet Shehgal is among the first people who have reached to Dr. Akhilesh Das residence to offer his condolences.

Residence of Akhilesh Das in Lucknow is immersed in deep grief and sorrow after the sudden news of demise of its chief occupant.

Son of Former CM of UP Late Babu Banarsi Das, Dr. Akhilesh was also the Founder Chancellor of BBD University Lucknow.
