#Sensex closes 195 points lower on profit-booking, poll trends.

The 30-share benchmark Sensex erased its morning gains and closed over 195 points lower as investors booked profits after three consecutive days of gains. In Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was set to win 25 of 87 constituencies, according to results from the Election Commission of India. That’s up from 11 seats in 2008. In Jharkhand, the BJP led in 36 of 81 seats, compared with 18 in the previous election.
