Sensex slumps for sixth straight session, closes 509 points down
Mumbai, Sep 28: The Sensex and Nifty indexes in India fell for the sixth straight session on Wednesday, pulled down by severe selling pressure in index heavyweights Reliance Industries, ITC, and HDFC Bank.

Around lunchtime, the markets had some decent buying support. The Sensex temporarily went positive, reaching an intra-day high of 57,213.33 points.
