Talking about the recently happened farmers incident in Madhya Pradesh, NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar on Saturday during 19th anniversary of NCP foundation day celebrations said that,  it is shameful for government of the Madhya Pradesh led by BJP to have meted out such a treatment to the community that provides food to the state.

They have been demanding relief from the government for the last many months,  but the government did not pay heed, he added.
He further said that,  Supreme Court asked Union government to provide details of farmers suicides for the last three years. Government replied that 12,000 farmers committed suicide every year,  for the last three years.
The dismal photos and their stories reached to all corners of the world,  yet the BJP government is silent about it, Sharad Pawar told.
