New Delhi, Nov 23, 2022: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has expressed his anguish over comments accusing him of plotted sectarianism in the party by violating the admonitions of Opposition leader VD Satheesan.

Addressing the media after visiting Bishop Mar Joseph Pamplany at Kannur during his Malabar tour, Tharoor said that he is not afraid of anyone.

During his trip, Tharoor paid visits to Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal, DCC president in Malappuram, MGS Narayanan, former minister Cyriac John, Kanthapuram Musaliyar, and Civil Service Academy established in commemoration of Hyderali Shihab Thangal on Monday.

He further asserted that it is not out of the ordinary to visit all these persons during Kerala visits. He had also attended a programme at Mahila College to interact with students on various topics of women empowerment, a commemoration programme of MP Mohammed Musaliyar. Later, he inaugurated the oration series organised by Mathrubhumi in Kozhikode.

“It has been my 14th year in politics. I have not sneered at anyone yet. It is not my way. I am not scared of anyone. It will be better if they remained with me as usual,” Tharoor said.
