Six new members of CoA elected in 38th Annual General Meeting of EPCH

New Delhi – 10th December, 2024 – Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) today successfully concluded its 38th Annual General Meeting at New Delhi. The Meeting was chaired by  Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH in the presence of  Neeraj Khanna and Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairmen-EPCH. Also leading member exporters were present in the meeting included Ravi K. Passi, Raj Kumar Malhotra, D. Kumar, Avdesh Agarwal, Naved Ur Rehman, Salman Azam, Ashok Arora, Simrandeep Singh Kohli, Arshad Mir, Najmul Islam, Vishal Agarwal, Parvez Alam, S. K. Goel, J P Singh, Deepak Gupta, Rishi Soni, Sandeep Chhabra, Vineet Bhatia, Manu Gulati, Naveen Yadav, R. K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH, Rajesh Rawat, Addl. Executive Director-cum-Secretary-EPCH and other eminent member exporters from various parts of the country.

Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH chaired the 38th Annual General Meeting and briefed the gathering about various activities and initiatives undertaken by the Council during 2023-24 toward the promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country.

One of the agenda items of the 38th AGM was to constitute the vacancies as per available vacancies i.e. three vacancies in Northern Region and one each in North-West Region, Southern Region and North East Region. The House adopted all the agendas including the election of CoA members informed by R. K. Verma, the Executive Director-EPCH.

The elected members are from the Northern Region: Ravi K. Passi, M/s R. K. Arts; Prince Malik, M/s Osyrus Overseas and Arshad Hussain Mir, M/s Mir Handicrafts Pvt. Ltd; from the North-East Region: Jesmina Zeliang, M/s Heirloom Naga, Dimapur; from the Southern Region: K. N. Tulasi Rao, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa & Co., Narsapur and from the North-West Region: Dileep Baid, M/s Dileep Crafts Private Limited, Jaipur.

Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH, on behalf of EPCH expressed his appreciation to outgoing member of the Committee of Administration K. L. Ramesh for his contribution and services provided during his tenure for handicrafts trade. Further, Baid urged joint and collaborative support and efforts of members exporters for betterment of handicrafts sector.

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts is a nodal agency for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the Country and create brand image of magic of the gifted hands of millions of artisans and crafts persons engaged in production of home, lifestyle, textiles, furniture and fashion jewellery & accessories products in different craft clusters of the Country. The Handicrafts exports during the year 2023-24 was Rs. 32,759 Crores (US $ 3,956 Million) registering a growth of 9.13% in rupee term & 6.11% in dollar terms over the previous year, as informed by R. K. Verma, Executive Director, EPCH.
