Snapchat to Host Lens Creator Rewards With Prize Money of Rs6 lakh in India

2nd August 2023: Snap Inc. has announced the Lens Creator Rewards, a new effort focused at acknowledging and rewarding Snap AR creators, developers, and teams for their great work in creating engaging Snapchat Lenses.

The program’s goal is to recognise the most inventive Lenses that allow Snapchatters to express themselves and have fun with their friends by providing them with unique new looks to try on and intriguing AR environments to explore.

One of the top five markets for Lens Creators is India, which has shown tremendous community participation with their creations. This highlights the country’s vibrant AR community, with multiple artists hailing from various regions, adding to the platform’s AR content’s diversity and richness.

AR creators can receive recognition and money benefits through the Lens Creator benefits Programme. Every month, the top-performing Lens Creator in India, the United States, and Mexico may be compensated with up to $7,200 (about Rs 6 lakh) for their remarkable efforts. The programme is open to members of the Lens Studio community from approximately 40 countries, including India.

Participation in the programme entails creating new Lenses, and prospective AR developers can learn more about eligibility by reading the Lens Creator Rewards Terms.

Snapchat has seen a boom in the creation of AR producers in India over the last few years, indicating the region’s growing interest and talent.
