New Delhi, 31st July, 2022: On July 31st, from 12pm to 2pm, Indian Exhibition Services hosted a press conference at Press club of India, New Delhi for Sport India Expo 2022 and Sport India Conference 2022, which was attended by several dignitaries including Mr. Swadesh Kumar (Director of India Exhibition Services), Dr. Devendra Arora (Founder President of Sports Academy Association of India), and Dr. A K Bansal (Dronacharya awardee in Hockey).
“Sport India 2022”- India’s largest sport and fitness business expo and 10th India International sporting goods show is all set to open on 4th August, 2022 at India Expo Center in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
The show is being organized by Indian Exhibition Services and sport India Foundation and it is supported by Sports Goods Export promotion council (SGEPC), Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Govt. of India and physical education foundation of India (PEFI) as a knowledge partner.
This International exhibition will feature sports goods, sports wear and accessories, fitness, gym and rehabilitation equipment, sports flooring and technology, golf, adventure and amusement, motor sports, toys, sports wellness and beauty, raw materials and sports goods manufacturing machines, sport medicine and allied industries.
It is a B2B business platform for those active in sports, sports business, sports activities, and those aiming towards better sports in India. It serves as a free forum for discussion and knowledge sharing in order to advance sports in India. The event’s primary goal is to establish India as a major player in international sports.
The core objective of the sport India 2022 initiative is to establish a single venue where the government, non-government organisations, federations, state associations, various sports bodies, sport authorities, sports clubs, sport academics, coaches, and judges, sports goods manufacturers, Central and state sports departments, and relevant government institutions, buyers, sellers, and sports personnel, training centres, sport investors, etc. can come together and could contribute to the growth of Sports Industry in India.
In a press conference organized on Sunday, Dr. A. K. Bansal, a hockey player who received the Dronacharya Award, Swadesh Kumar, the director of Indian Exhibition Services, and Devendra Arora (Founder President of Sports Academy Association of India) shared important information about the three-day Expo exhibition event.
Bansal praised Swadesh Kumar’s efforts for consistently organising such helpful conferences and expos for the past ten years. He mentioned that Swadesh Kumar started it at Pragati Maidan, and that he is still doing a fantastic job since continuity is a key for successful events and every year it gets more and more effective.
According to Bansal, sports is much more than playing and making players play; there are many efforts that go towards becoming a successful player. If someone’s presence can contribute to the success of such useful events, I would be more than happy to support it by coming and attending, he added.
Devender Kumar said, “Our goal will always be to innovate in sports. Everyone is working extremely hard to ensure the success of this event. I am from Meerut, and Swadesh Ji is also from Meerut. I am excited to be a part of this expo and to collaborate with Mr. Swadesh.”
