“Sports For Change” organized by HCL Foundation in Noida!

On 18th November HCL foundation organised a mega sports event under the theme of “SPORTS FOR CHANGE” to encourage and sports skill and nurture the young talent in Gurukuls and Yuva Kendra) and other government schools . The children from unprivileged section of society took part in this event.

Dr Mahesh Sharma , Union Minister of State for Culture was the chief guest for this sports event. He was welcomed by a Bagpiper band which was played by school students. Talking about the event he said “It is an great initiative by HCL foundation and I am delighted to be part of this event as the children’s which are present here are from remote parts of the country and are also son’s and daughters of mother India and they also need to get as much opportunity as 125 crore Indian’s get”.

Interacting with media Nidhi Pundhir , Director HCL foundation said “We at HCL always believe in effort to strengthen the unprivileged community. As from sports children’s get to learn about team spirit, positive attitude towards life and become strong in terms of physical and mental health”.

“Over 150 children’s were participating in this event from cities like Chennai, Maduari, Bengaluru, Lucknow and Hyderabad . These children’s are from 53 schools, 24 Gurukuls and from different government schools in the region , many of the students from the southern part of the country sited very first time in the train and travelled for 36 hours and were very excited to visit the national capital. We also had a program for students of their Delhi trip” Nidhi further added.

The event was flagged off today by Brajesh Narain Singh, DM, Gautam Budh Nagar. He also interacted with participants and encouraged them and wished them luck for their future.
