St. Stephens adds Political Science courses for this year DU Admissions

There is some respite for students who are seeking admissions to Delhi university (DU).  From this academic session DU will launch additional courses in approximately 63 affiliated colleges. The executive council approved a proposal for introduction of new subject on February 28. St. Stephens has also added Political Science courses for this year DU Admissions. After this proposal is cleared, the students will be able to pursue Political Science Honours courses in Political Science and Economics respectively at St Stephen’s College and Gargi College.

However the launch of these courses will also depend on the nod from the funding agency, which is the Delhi government  and the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the rest. As per a report in a leading newspaper, the colleges will apply for approval from the respective agencies, which are expected to clear the files before the new academic session begins in July. Rajesh Jha, a member of the executive council, DU’s top statutory body has said that the university has given the approval after an inspection of these colleges. From this year  Political science (honours) will be available in Swami Shraddhanand and Bhagini Nivedita College too.
