Students express their views on rights of Girl child

“Indian culture is the best in the world”, said MLA from Faridabad Vipul Goel. He made a special mention of the initiatives mooted by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a specific mention of ‘Swachh Bharat- Swasth Bharat and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao”. He was speaking at the debate competition organised by Jankalyan Sanstha, North India at DAV School Auditorium at Sector-14 Faridabad. The debate was based on the topic of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ and also included the issues of Female feticide, girl education, Cleanliness and comparison of Indian culture and western culture. The discussion made it a good initiative involving the youth of the country in the issues relating to the upliftment of the girls of the society in terms of education, health and progress. The debate witnessed a participation of 550 students from 15 schools of Faridabad. Out of the total 550 participants 190 winners were awarded with prizes including 21 boys and girls getting the top positions.

The award giving ceremony was presided over by the MLA Vipul Goel. The guest of honour was Ramesh Gupta, President Vishwa Hindu Parishad. S.C.Gupta, president of the organising association said that the MLA has performed very well towards the steps needed to keep the city clean. The schools who participated in the event included DPS, Modern DPS, DAV Sector-14, Agrawal Public School Sector-3 Faridabad, APJ School sector-21D, Geeta Convent, Rawal Public School, Modern School, Holy Child Public School, DAV Ballabgarh, DAV Palwal, MVN Sector 19, DAV NIT, Gold Field Public School and MD CBSE School sector-16A. Also present in the event were P.K.Tripathi, V.P. Gupta, P.C.Gandhi, D.R.Soni, Ramji Gupta, M.L.Agrawal, S.R.Gupta, Narendra Jain etc. apart from students, their parents and teachers.
