Sunday shocker: Brace for a 14-hr power cut in Noida

The power discom has scheduled a 14-hour shutdown on Sunday to re-install the electricity tower in Sector 148 that fell down during a thunderstorm on Monday.

Officials of Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vihar Nigam Limited (PVVNL), however, assured that the shutdown from 4am to 6pm would not affect the supply in the residential areas as affected sectors would be supplied additional power that would be available as most industries would be closed on that day.
