Suresh Prabhu speaks on reservation problem in Indian Railways

Suresh Prabhu today spoke in a session titled “Smart Railways : The New Vision”. It was a part of ongoing CII Annual Session of 2017.

Talking about passenger reservation issues he said, “We currently have limited capabilities and we are continuously trying to better our resources. Presently our major revenues come from freight sector but it is what get least priority in all other aspects. We are trying to develop individual lines for freight sectors so both passenger and non-passenger locomotives can operate at optimum capacity”.


Speaking about the high speed railways he said,”We are trying to bring high-speed rail to India. World is approaching to a speed of 500-600km/hr but we at least should first focus on a speed of 200 Km/hr.
