Delhi (21/12/2022): The Apeejay Stya family organised a graceful commemorative event to mark Dr. Stya Paul’s 103rd birth anniversary.

Dr Stya Paul was a visionary industrialist, educator, freedom fighter, philanthropist, and inspiration for the Apeejay Stya and Svran Group. The celebration honoured the unwavering character of “an ordinary guy who climbed to tremendous heights” and the principles he upheld.

 

Monoact Play on Swami Vivekanand by Padma Shri Shekhar Sen was the main attraction of the gracious evening and also granddaughter of Dr Stya Paul, Dr Neha Berlia mesmerised the audience by playing Sarod.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sushma Paul Berlia, President, Apeejay Stya Group and Svran Group Recalling the time of Corona, she said that it was a very difficult time for all of us and the place where we were in New York was the center of all the activities. The sound of the siren of the ambulance all day and night, people were very scared. At that time we thought that money is not that important there is more things which are important than money and that is what truly matters in life.

 

Berlia gave her father, Dr Stya Paul, a heartfelt homage as she recalled the wonderful journey of his life from obscurity to fame and achievement despite numerous obstacles, including a physical one.

She said “Dr Stya Paul was a relatively common man by birth, but he achieved incredible heights. We want to recall, remember, be inspired by, and carry forth all that he stood for and demonstrated throughout his life, which is why we want to celebrate his life. She added that he also inspired many future leaders of the country to embark on a journey towards holistic education, “she said, adding “Each of us has the potential to be the best version of ourselves. However, many of us find ourselves absorbed in our daily activities without understanding our purpose in this world. , does not allow itself to prosper.”

 

The mega event was attended by thousands of people including who’s who from pan India, top officers, business and education leaders, Army officers, social workers, media stalwarts and Apeejayites.
