MBA Department, I.T.S Engineering College organized Debate competition ‘War of Words’ on 26th September 2014 in NAIDU Hall.

The Topic of Debate was “Should social networking sites be banned in offices and colleges?”. The aim was to generate confidence and to bring out the leadership quality in MBA students towards understanding the essential soft skill requirement by corporate s and the industry.

The event was graced by honorable Director, Dr. Vineet Kansal, HOD’s of different departments, Faculty members and MBA Students.

The Competition was held at two levels. In first level, students had to speak for 5 minutes on the given topic. In total 15 students participated. The qualifiers of Level 1 were promoted to Level 2 where an extempore topic was provided to the students on which they were supposed to speak for 2 minutes. As the programme continued the debate got very interesting and new view points came into lime light. It was a thrill round and towards its end it reached to competitive excitement heights.

The judges were Prof. L.K. Verma and Prof. Ankush Srivastava.

The First Prize was won by Dheeraj Rupani. who received Medal and Dominos Coupons. The second winner was Md. Saquib and third winner was Kumar Harsh. There were two consolation prizes  to boost up the morale of students which were given to Md. Shadab and Piyush.

The program was organized by MS. Anuja Shukla, Faculty MBA Department. It was a huge success and enjoyed by one and all.
