Tamil Nadu floor test Live updates: Edappadi Palaniswami wins vote of confidence, gets 122 votes

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami has won the trust vote. 122 MLAs voted for him while 11 voted for O Panneerselvam. Majority needed was 68. Meanwhile, earlier in the day, violence had erupted inside the Tamil Nadu Assembly Saturday as DMK MLAs demanded a secret ballot in the floor test called by chief minister Edappadi Palanasami to prove majority of his government. Amid the chaos DMK’s Stalin alleged his shirt was torn off even as he said he’s going to meet the Governor to apprise him of the situation.
