Bihar, Sept 1, 2022: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao(KCR) met with his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar and other leaders of the grand alliance in Patna on Wednesday.

Blaming the Modi-led government at the Centre for many ills plaguing the country, they called for a ‘BJP-mukt Bharat’.

In view of BJP’s ongoing campaigns and efforts to expand their base in Telangana, KCR’s meeting with Kumar and Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav assumed political significance as they presented a united front.

In a joint press conference meeting, Rao asserted that they will unite all the political parties in the country to oust BJP.

“Before the Modi government, the rupee never depreciated so much. Why did farmers have to protest for over a year? The country faced losses in every sector due to the failures of the Central govt”, said Rao.

Rao also flayed the Modi government for having brought in the Agnipath scheme for recruitment in the armed forces without consulting any of the opposition parties.

Bihar CM, Nitish Kumar also lashed out at BJP and criticized the party for their “excessive prachar-prasar” (publicity) and lack of action.
He also added that they have no sensitivity or responsibility to the needs of the states.

Kumar expressed anguish over the Centre’s stout refusal to accept his plea for giving special category status to Bihar.

“All states are suffering under the current dispensation. States’ share in revenue is declining”, alleged Kumar.

Reacting to their press conference, BJP leader Sushil Modi dubbed the meeting as the “latest comedy show of opposition unity”.
