Today at Constitution Club of India, Ten News team witnessed the mechanism of EVM to understand the myth of EVM tampering.

An EVM basically includes a control unit and a balloting unit, connected by a 5m cable. One EVM can cater to 16 candidates at a time and these machines can register only 5 votes per minute.

To avoid any type of wrongdoing , the presiding officer presses the close button after the last vote. The EVMs are designed in such a way that the machines won’t accept any vote after being detached from the control unit.
After watching the whole process presented by Election Commission , people are of view that there are very less chances of tampering EVM.
