The President of India felicitates Mrs. Grace Pinto among 100 Women Achievers

The President of India, Shri.Pranab Mukherjee felicitated Mrs. Grace Pinto, Managing Director, Ryan International Group of Institutions during a lunch hosted for 100 Women Achievers on January 22, 2016 at Rashtrapati Bhawan on the First Anniversary of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme.  Mrs. Pinto was selected among ‘100 Women Achievers’ by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) for her commendable contribution in the field of Education in the country.   

The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) in collaboration with Facebook had launched the ‘#100Women Initiative’ to recognize and acknowledge women who make a difference in their communities in various fields such as access to justice, protecting women & their rights; agriculture and animal husbandry; animal welfare; arts and culture; commerce, industry and entrepreneurship; community mobilization; disability and disadvantage; education; environment, forests and wildlife; globalizing India; healthcare and wellness; hygiene and sanitation; improving the child sex ratio; innovation science and technology; literature; media; nutrition; sports; women in public life and women empowerment.  The process involved a contest to select 100 women achievers through public nominations via social media and an esteemed jury.Having received the honour for being among the top women achievers in India, Mrs. Grace Pinto said, “I greatly commend the efforts of the Ministry of Women and Child Development to empower women in our country and recognize their contribution in the country.  While I thank the Hon’ble President for bestowing this honour, I am grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ for this national honour. I dedicate this award to all my Ryan staff, Parent Community and well wishers. We will continue our efforts to make quality education accessible in every part of our country in order to empower the youth of  our nation.”
