Think twice before you post anything in WhatsApp

As per the reports, WhatsApp group administrators could face legal action in coming times if they failed to curb the spread of false information among members.
In a joint order issued by District Magistrate of Varanasi, Yogeshwar Mishra and Senior SP Nitin Tiwari, it has been stated that, any factually incorrect, rumour or misleading information in a what’s app group could result in a FIR against the administrator.
Cyber Expert, Anuj Aggrawal said that, it’s against freedom of speech and how can any administrator can control a what’s app group, as it is an online chatting application.
Conversely , Rajiv Narayan Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police, UP-STF, told Ten News, that it’s a positive step from authorities and it will definitely eradicate the problem of spreading fake rumours and misleading information through whatsapp.
