Thousands of children take part in cancer awareness March organized by DSGMC New Delhi
Keeping its commitment towards the issues related to society, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara management committee today organized a cancer awareness March which was taken out from Gurdwara Bangla Sahib to Gurdwara Rakabganj sahib.
About 5000 schools students who took part in the March walked from Gurdwara Bangla Sahib to Jatar Mantar, Regal Building, Connaught Place, Baba Kharag Singh Marg converged at Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib spreading massage about awareness for cancer.
President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Mr. Manjit Singh G.K. who flagged off the march thanked Mr. Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal of ROKO foundation for donating machines at Bala Sahib Hospital for diagnose of cancer and further treatment of the cancer disease.
General Secretary Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa praising children who took part in the March said that by involving children at such young age in social works would help make a better society.
On the occasion pink balloons were released in air and a free cancer check up camp was organized at Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib. Later addressing school students in Lakhi Shah Vanjara hall, President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Mr. Manjit Singh G.K. showed commitment to continue to take up the social issues apart from performing duties falling in its mandate.
On the occasion DSGMC senior vice president Mr. Ravinder Singh Khurana, vice president Mr. Tanwant Singh, senior SAD leaders Mr. Avtar Singh Hit and Mr. Onkar Singh Thapar, DSGMC’s dharma parchar committee president Mr. Paramjit Singh Rana, DSGMC members Mr. Paramjeet Singh Chandok, Mr. Manminder Singh Ayur, Mr. Jatinder Singh Goldy, Mr. Paramjit Singh Meeta, Mr. Harivnder Singh K.P., Mr. Gurdev Singh Bhola, Mr. Ravinder Singh Lovely, and Mr. Hardev Singh Dhanoa were present. DSGMC director sports Mr. Swaranjeet Singh Brar, DSGMC advisor international affairs Mr. Puneet Singh Chandok and Mr. Vikram Singh were also present.
