Three-year-old, missing for 3 days, found in septic tank

Ghaziabad: The body of a three-year-old boy, who was missing for three days, was found in a tank inside an abandoned house in Ghaziabad on Sunday. The boy, Govind, went missing from his home in Chaman Vihar on May 19.

The kid’s body was found inside an unused septic tank. The tank is located inside an under-construction room that does not have a roof. Local people broke the lock on the door of the room and called cops to retrieve the body. According to Govind’s parents, he was murdered and dumped inside the tank. “It’s almost impossible for a three-year-old to reach the tank. It’s inexplicable how he could reach the place, nearly 100 metres away from our house. Locals said there was a rope tied to his hand. A portion of flesh gave away when someone tried to tug at the rope,” the child’s father, Rajvir (45), an auto driver, said.
According to police, the body has decomposed. Rajvir said he would register a police complaint depending on the outcome of the report.
Govind went missing from his home, a rented accommodation where he lived with his parents and siblings, when he was playing outside.
