Tight security at Surajkund International Crafts Mela.

Faridabad , Jan 31 – Haryana Police have made elaborate security arrangements in view of the visit of the President of India, Mr Ram Nath Kovind at Surajkund International Crafts Mela at Surajkund, Faridabad on February 1, 2020.
          Director General of Police, Haryana, Mr Manoj Yadava along with other senior police officers today visited Surajkund to review the security arrangements in view of the upcoming visit of the President. He also directed his team to prepare a comprehensive plan for security of the participants and visitors as well as for traffic and parking during the mela.
          Reviewing the security measures, the DGP said that all security arrangements had been put in place. Apart from the local police, senior police officers of State would remain on duty.
          It may be mentioned here that President, Mr Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the Surajkund International Crafts Mela on February 1, 2020.
          On this occasion, CID Haryana has launched Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) to further strengthen security system at Surajkund Mela. With this, police will be able to detect explosives up to 500 meters range.
          This ROV, a 68 kg machine, can carry up to 20 kg of explosive material. After detecting the explosive substance, the bomb can be disposed of by a bomb disposal squad by taking it to a deserted place. In view of the security arrangements, CID Haryana has launched this machine at Surajkund Mela.
          ADGP CID Mr Anil Kumar Rao, IGP Security Mr Saurabh Singh, CP Faridabad Mr K.K. Rao and other senior police officers were also present on this occasion.
