The dastardly terror attack carried in the wee hours of 18th September morning by armed militants in the Army base at Uri, North Kashmir have put a serious question mark over whether we should ever trust Pakistan again or not. The deadly grenade attacks on Sunday led to as many as18 Indian brave soldiers getting martyred, besides critically injuring many soldiers. This attack comes close on the heels of the deadly Pathankot Air Force station terror attacks that happened in January earlier this year.
While diplomatic ties between any two nations are relevant, it cannot be done at the expense of precious human lives, and especially when they happen to be those of our ‘protectors’, the ‘braveheart Indian soldiers’ who shield the nation from external aggressions.

As one endeavours to go to the root cause of the whole problem, it is extremely essential to refrain from petty political slugfests as it will tantamount to not just insulting those who have laid their lives protecting us, but inflicting more pain and rubbing salt into the wounds of the kith and kin of those killed. The real solution lies in giving the Indian forces a free hand in dealing not just with the terror outfits, but also while dealing with the perpetrators of those unleashing terror in our country. The masterminds have to be reigned in, and the country needs to stand as one ‘cohesive unit’ and not like a ‘divided house’.

Traitors are ‘traitors’, and no justification can be accepted when they conspire to plan something against their nation. Rather than saying that the Uri attacks have been a direct fallout of Modi’s Gilgit-Balochistan rant from the ramparts of Red Fort, it would make sense to attribute these attacks to the preachers and the traitors who spew anti India venom being on Indian soil because of which terror outfits get bolstered to carry well orchestrated attacks.

Ironically it happens only in India where in the name of democracy, terrorists like Afzal Guru’s and Burhan Wani get hailed as martyrs while brave soldiers who make the supreme sacrifice are soon forgotten.
On sensitive issues such as ‘national security’, or for that matter, ‘Kashmir’, there can simply be no compromising. Stern and prompt action needs to be taken against the enemies of the nation, and those threatening to rattle the peace and security of the nation.

When leeway is given to seditious voices, and concrete action does not follow, it results in creating a situation which is very similar to what one is witnessing in the Valley today.. a picture of total unrest, mayhem and instability.

A soft approach is bound to encourage the anti-national elements, and push them to undertake more deadly acts of terror in regular intervals by surreptitiously aligning with the terror outfits from the other side of the LoC.

The world stands united with India in this hour of crisis, and in all earnest, all eyes are on PM Modi to display true leadership qualities by initiating strong steps to pay Pakistan back in the same coin. Cross border strikes happening seems to be a strong possibility in the coming days as it has become extremely pertinent to show Pakistan its real place.

Waging a war has its own repercussions, and the flip side need to be borne in mind since nations engaged in long drawn bloody battles are known to suffer humungous economic losses which go on to result in burning deep holes in the pockets of the aam aadmi.

However at this critical time to suggest and expect that our Army should not waste time in preparing for an intense battle with the Pakistani Army would certainly not be preposterous.

On the contrary, a moderate and infirm approach by the Indian military can prove to be catastrophic especially as we had not even fully recovered from the deadly Pathankot terror attacks in the month of January earlier this year when terror was unleashed again in a place called Uri.

The nation of 1.2 billion expects our outspoken PM Modi to deliver a long lasting “action oriented” tough message to the other side of the LoC, as that alone will be the fitting tribute to our brave martyrs, besides enabling us to showcase the prowess of our mighty defense forces.

Though Pakistan also prides in calling itself a ‘Democratic nation’, the fact remains that their elected government is not fully empowered and happens to be under the control of the Pakistan Army. Fortunately in India, the elected government led by Prime Minister is fully empowered to take all crucial decisions concerning the well being, safety and security of the nation. Terror attacks have continued unabashedly in India despite strong bonhomie between PM Modi and PM Nawaz Sharif, because the Army happens to be the supreme controller of power in Pakistan, and not the elected government.

As the Prime Minister, Narender Modi has exercised all options of ensuring cordial ties with Pakistan, but since our neighbour has perpetually been hell bent upon backstabbing us by exporting terror factories and infiltrators in our territory, it is time to settle the score once and for all. The timing is apt, and citizens of our country are waiting with bated breath to see Pakistan having a taste of their medicine sans stooping down to their levels. Carrying air strikes on terror factories based out of Pakistan would really not be a bad idea.

Unquestionably, the Army has no option left, but to return fire and teach the terror perpetrators unleashing terrorism on the Indian soil a lifetime lesson!!
