Top Congress leaders sit on ‘Satyagraha’ at Rajghat

New Delhi : Today, top Congress leaders sat on satyagraha at Rajghat to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC), and demanded protection of the rights conferred on the people in the Constitution.

During the Satyagraha, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and former President of the party Rahul Gandhi read the Preamble of the Constitution. This satyagraha was organized by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and several other senior leaders of the party were also present in the Satyagraha. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, senior party leaders Ahmed Patel, AK Antony, Ghulam Nabi Azad, KC Venugopal, Anand Sharma, Digvijay Singh and a large number of party workers were also present.

Delhi Pradesh President Subhash Chopra said that the morale of Delhi Congress is continuously increasing.

On the results of Jharkhand, Rahul said that these results are encouraging for Congress. He said that now the mood of the country has changed. Those who want to hold power in the name of PM Modi should understand that now their magic will not work. Rahul said that both BJP and AAP party should understand very well that the people of Delhi have come back to the Congress again.
