Top Exporters and Trailblazing Entrepreneurs Recognized at EPCH’s 24th Handicrafts Export Awards

New Delhi, 24th August: The Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) marked a grand celebration of excellence in India’s handicraft sector at its 24th Handicrafts Export Awards Function, held at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. The prestigious event, hosted in the Convention Hall, brought together the nation’s leading exporters for an evening of recognition, reflection, and celebration.

The ceremony honored the exceptional performance of Indian handicraft exporters, presenting 123 trophies and merit certificates for outstanding contributions during the fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21. The event was a testament to the vibrant and dynamic nature of India’s handicraft industry, with awardees hailing from various corners of the country.

Among the distinguished honorees was Gautam Nathany from Seet Kamal Pvt Ltd, who received the Platinum Award for Best Export Turnover for an impressive third consecutive year. In an exclusive interview with Ten News, Nathany expressed his deep satisfaction, stating, “After 25 years of dedication, this recognition is immensely gratifying. EPCH has been a constant guide and mentor, showing us the path to global success and providing invaluable opportunities.”

Seet Kamal Pvt Ltd is also advancing its global brand presence with a pioneering initiative that supports 200 women entrepreneurs, highlighting the company’s commitment to empowering women in the industry.

Another notable awardee, Piyush Lohia of DesignCo, based in Moradabad, shared his excitement with Ten News. “Receiving this award is an immense honor for us. It reflects the hard work of our entire team and motivates us to set higher standards for the future,” Lohia remarked. DesignCo plans to expand its market reach by participating in all EPCH-organized shows, further cementing its presence in the global handicrafts arena.

Dr. Khushboo Singh of Aarya Fashions, a Greater Noida-based business specializing in fashion and jewelry, also received high praise at the event. Dr. Singh, whose company was established in 2017, described the award as “an Oscar” for her and her team. “This recognition validates the hard work we’ve put in, and as a woman entrepreneur, it’s inspiring to see so many women globally in production. EPCH’s support has been crucial for me and the entire export fraternity,” she noted.

The Handicrafts Export Awards Function not only celebrates the dedication and achievements of top exporters but also underscores EPCH’s unwavering commitment to fostering growth and innovation within the handicraft sector. The event serves as a beacon of the industry’s potential to shine on the global stage.

The gala was attended by key figures including Dileep Baid, Chairman of EPCH; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Mentor and Director General of EPCH, and Chairman of India Exposition Mart Ltd.; Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Vice Chairman; Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman; and other distinguished members of the Committee of Administration-EPCH. R.K. Verma, Executive Director of EPCH, along with numerous press and media representatives, also graced the occasion, further highlighting the event’s significance in the handicrafts industry.
