Kirtan Darbar and religious procession to commemorate 232nd anniversary of the grand success of Khalsa Army will be on 21.03.2015 at 1600 hrs and on 22.03.2015 at 1400 hours onwards.

 

On 21.03.2015, Kirtan Darbar will be organized opposite Red Fort ground at 1600 hrs.

 

On 22.03.2015, a procession will start at 1400 hours from Yamuna Bazar (Hanuman Mandir) – Chhata Rail – Netaji Subhash Marg – T/L – Red Fort (Gyan Path) – T/L Mot Road.

 

A large number of devotees are expected to reach and participate in the Kirtan Darbar on 21.03.2015 and procession on 22.03.2015. Traffic will remain heavy and congestion is expected on Subhash Marg, Nishad Raj Marg, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Marg and Ring Road (ISBT).

 

General public are advised to avoid above mentioned roads. All commercial vehicles, DTC buses and other buses should take Ring Road bye-pass to reach ISBT, Kashmiri Gate. In case of traffic congestion, all vehicles would be diverted from Delhi Gate towards Shanti Van Chowk.

 

Diversions:

 

During the movement of procession on 22.03.2015, some diversion will be made from the following points according to the situation of the procession:

 

  1. Delhi Gate Crossing
  2. Shubhash Marg-Nishad Raj Marg T-Point.
  3. Shanti Van Chowk.
  4. Kela Ghat, Ring Road.
  5. Hanuman Mandir Yamuna Bazar.
  6. GPO Kashmiri Gate T-Point
  7. Kauria Pul.
  8. Boulevard Road-Lothian Road (ISBT)

 

Special instructions to general public

 

  1. Commuters going to New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway station and ISBT should leave in advance and have sufficient time for absorbing possible delays in routes.
  2. Avail public transport to help decongestion of roads.
  3. Park their vehicles only at designated parking lots and avoid roadside parking as it causes hindrance to normal flow of traffic.
  4. In case any unusual/unidentified object or person is seen moving in suspicious circumstances, inform the Police Control Room.

 

The public is advised to make maximum use of public transport, especially Delhi Metro. Adequate traffic arrangements have been made to ensure proper movement of devotees and keep the general flow of traffic normal and smooth. Motorists are advised to follow the diversions and obey instructions of the traffic police.
