New Delhi (India), 12th April 2023: Elon Musk, billionaire and CEO of Twitter claimed that it had not been simple to reduce the workforce from around 8,000 when he purchased the company and now to a mere 1,500.
On Wednesday, the BBC took part in a live discussion on Twitter Spaces after objecting to being called “government-funded media” on its Twitter account. Twitter was contacted by the British broadcaster to declare its longstanding independence.
It’s not practical to talk with that many individuals face to face, Musk acknowledged when asked whether he fired everyone in person.
Elon Musk’s acquisition of the business and the departure of numerous engineers have raised doubts about the platform’s stability.
Musk acknowledged that there had been hiccups, including site outages, but he assured that they were only temporary and the site is now operating normally and functioning smoothly.
Elon Musk stated that accounts will be free of the legacy-verified blue ticks by the end of the next week.
Running the platform, according to Musk, who paid $44 billion to acquire it in October of last year, is “quite painful” and “a rollercoaster.”
In addition, he said that if he could find the perfect buyer, he might think about selling the business.
