TWO SMUGGLERS ARRESTED AND 315 KG 600 GRAMS GANJA RECOVERED

On 17/07/14, Police Officers of PS-Mayur Vihar have arrested two smugglers of cannabis plant (ganja) namely 1. Veerbhadra s/o Punnu Swami, age-45 years & 2. Heera Babu s/o Suryanarayan, age-36 years, both r/o Inish Peta Streat, Rajmundari, East Godawari, Andhra Pradesh, and 315 kg 600 gram ganja was recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT

On 17/07/14 at 9.10 PM, a secret information was received that a Tempo was coming to Delhi, carrying huge quantity of Ganja. Acting on the secret information a team of Police Officers of PS-Mayur Vihar was constituted and a raid was conducted. Tempo No-AP-37TC-5021 was intercepted by the police. “On Govt. Duty” along with a logo of Railways was found pasted on the tempo to mislead the police. It was found that the tempo was loaded with some plants. However, after thorough search it was found that there was a secret box, fabricated behind the seat of the tempo. The same was opened and 315 kg 600 gram cannabis plant (ganja) was recovered from it. The tempo was coming from Andhra Pradesh and destined towards Ghaziabad. Both the smugglers were arrested and a case was registered against them.

A team comprising of Inspr. Digvijay Singh, SHO/Mayur Vihar, SI J.K.Singh D/3724 HC Ramcharan No-581/E, HC Banveer No-439/E, Ct. Ram Kishore No-1418/E and Ct. Beer Singh No-2023/E was constituted under the close supervision of Shri Sanjay Sehrawat, ACP/Kalyanpuri.

RECOVERY

Total 315 kg 600 gram cannabis plant (ganja).
A tempo No-AP-37TC-5021.

Further investigation is going on and the accused are being interrogated.

Veerbhadra s/o Punnu Swami, age-45 years R/o r/o Inish Peta Streat, Rajmundari, East Godawari, Andhra Pradesh. He is married and a school dropout. He is a driver by profession.
Heera Babu s/o Suryanarayan, age-36 years, both, r/o Inish Peta Streat, Rajmundari, East Godawari, Andhra Pradesh. He is married and a school dropout. He is a driver by profession.
