Union Budget disappointing, nothing in it for healthcare industry: Six Sigma Healthcare CEO

There is nothing laudable for the healthcare industry in the budget 2022. The Healthcare industry is disappointed. The Budget does not hold very much promise to other essential medical services in the healthcare sector, including the crucial medical device & equipment’s. Unfortunately, we haven’t heard much on health care and education in this budget, said Dr Pradeep Bhardwaj, CEO : Six Sigma Healthcare.

2022 Health Budget – Key Takeaways:

1. National Digital Health Ecosystem – It will consist of digital registries of health providers and health facilities, unique health identity and universal access to health facilities.

2. National Tele Mental Health program – To better the access to quality mental health counseling and care services, a National Tele Mental Health program will be launched. This will include a network of 23 tele mental health centres of excellence.

3. Setting up of a Digital University – Govt’s mega push for digital education. A digital university will be developed to provide access to students for world-class quality education with ISTE standards. One Class, One TV Channel to be expanded to 200 TV channels.
