Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Leads Grand Tribute to India’s Bravehearts at Ek Hi Rasta Event
New Delhi – February 19, 2025: The fourth edition of “Wardi Nahi Ye Khaal Hai – Citizen Gratitude to Gallant Warrior 2024-25” was held at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi, celebrating the dedication and sacrifice of India’s armed and police forces.
Organized by Ek Hi Rasta (Trust), this initiative aims to honor personnel from the Indian Defence Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, and State & UT Police Forces for their unwavering service to the nation. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people across the country, reflecting a collective spirit of gratitude towards these gallant warriors.
The occasion was graced by Union Minister for Culture & Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who was warmly welcomed by Sidhant Saheb Ji, President of Ek Hi Rasta (Trust). As a token of respect, Shekhawat was presented with a memento of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
In his address, Shekhawat praised the initiative, likening it to the sacred Kumbh Snan, stating, “Having the privilege to witness a martyr’s family is as profound as taking a holy dip at the Kumbh.” He commended Sidhant Saheb Ji for choosing this noble path of social service.

Felicitation Ceremony & Website Launch
During the event, Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launched the official website of Ek Hi Rasta (Trust) and honored 58 awardees with the “Citizens’ Gratitude to Gallant Warriors 2024-25” award. The recipients included personnel from the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, CRPF, Delhi Police, Telangana Police, Mizoram Police, Ladakh Police, ITBP, and a select few civilians under the Non-Uniformed Category.
Distinguished guests who participated in the felicitation ceremony included:

A Tribute to Unsung Heroes
Addressing the audience, Sidhant Saheb Ji, President of Ek Hi Rasta (Trust), emphasized the organization’s commitment to recognizing the nation’s unsung heroes. “Wardi Nahi Ye Khaal Hai – Citizens’ Gratitude to Gallant Warriors” is our way of honoring those who protect our borders and uphold law and order. Their bravery and selflessness inspire us all to be better citizens.”
The event was expertly hosted by renowned television presenter & General Secretary of Ek Hi Rasta (Trust), Shilpa Bhawana. The overall event management was conducted by BKT Media Pvt. Ltd.
Cultural Tribute & Musical Launch
Adding to the occasion, Union Minister Shekhawat also unveiled the official Soul Song of Ek Hi Rasta (Trust). The song, choreographed and performed by Sindhu Mishra’s AAYAM – The Institute of Performing Arts, served as a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers.
