Union Minister Smiriti Zubin Irani innaugrates World’s largest Cushion Trade Fair in New Delhi

The fourth edition of the Hemtextil and Ambiente India, a cushion Trade Fair was inaugurated by the Union Textiles Minister Smiriti Zubin Irani on Tuesday in New Delhi.

Union Minister, Smiriti Zubin Irani addressed the gathering and uneviled the world’s largest cushion representing ‘Fabrics of India’at the fair. More than 180 leading Textiles companies from India, China, Korea, Nepal and Thailand have showcased their items in the fair.

Talking about the Fair, Minister said that, India is carving a distinct place for itself in home textile and interior decor space worldwide. India accounts for 7 percent of global home Textiles trade in the entire world and Indian products gaining a significant market share in the past few years, she added.

One of the center of attraction for the visitors is the ILA experience zone, which is featuring innovative concepts in interior spaces through a design face off between product and textile designers.
