United In Grief: Man cancels wedding feast, donates 11 Lakh to families of Pulwama martyrs

Noida (16/02/2019) : Entire country is shocked and grief stricken after the death of 40 brave CRPF soldiers in ghastly Pulwama terror attacks.

However, in such hard times there are people who are sowing the seeds of humanity and encouraging our Armed forces in this fight against terrorism.

One such businessman is Dewashi Manek from Surat who has cancelled a grand feast for his daughter’s wedding and has instead decided to donate 11 lakh rupees to the families of martyrs.

He is also donating another 5 lakh to service agencies.

As per Times Now News, Manek, a diamond businessman from Surat was to organise a wedding feast for her daughter who got married on Friday.



Instead the family decided to keep it simple and join the families of martyrs in their grief by extending financial help.

A message has been sent by the family to the guests regarding keeping the wedding simple in wake of terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains of fallen soldiers arrived in their respective villages today where thousands and thousands of people joined the funeral to extend their support to the families of slain soldiers.

Visuals from different parts of country show palpable anger against Pakistan and pressure is mounting on government to take stringent measures to curb terrorism.

India has reached out to over 40 countries through their diplomatic mission and have apprised them of Pakistan’s role in harbouring terrorists.

With the build up in Delhi circles, a major move by India is being expected anytime soon. However the form or timing of the same is being kept under wraps in order to not to lose the surprise element of strike.

In a rare incidence, Politicians cutting across party line have also extended unconditional support to the Union government in their fight against terrorism.
