UP Municipal Polls: BJP sweeping state, SP clinches second spot

Lucknow, 13th May 2023: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is leading across 76 seats in the UP municipal elections.
As of 1pm, SP seems to be leading on 50 seats, whereas BSP is ahead of Congress with 20 and 5 seats respectively.
The party in Varanasi is marking a lead by 16,000 points while Congress finishes second in most of the seats.
The counting in the Meerut constituency predicts a win for the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, while Kanpur is currently ahead in the Kanpur region.
